Quiksilver Festival 2024 Recap

The 2024 Quiksilver Festival turned into one big blur. Rain. Sun. Airs. Big carves. Big nights. DJs. The Skeggs. Friends from down the street. Friends from the other side of the world. It's hard to condense eight days of fun into two minutes of highlights, but our editors did their best.
Watch the official Quik Fest recap video here.

See you next year.

Day 5 - Final Day

Sunday, September 29th

Offshore wind. Fun waves. And a title to decide! The leaderboard got a few good shakes during the final round of ‘Best Combo,’ but the local team of @joanduru and @marclacomare ended up in that number one spot. Congrats boys, and thanks to all of you who came to surf and party with us this past week!

Day 4

Saturday, September 28th

The surf was fun today, so long as you ain’t afraid to belt a big section. We ran a ‘Biggest Combo’ round at La Nord in the morning and a ‘Biggest Combo’ round back at Les Gardians this afternoon. @kellyslater and @floresjeremy stole the lead — you surprised?

We’ll run one more round in smaller, cleaner waves tomorrow. But first, we’ve got a big night at the closing party ahead of us. See you there.

Day 3

Wednesday, September 25th

Twinny time. Day 3 of the 2024 Quik Fest saw a lot of action but no center fins.

Fine, @kellyslater may have snuck a mini trailer in but the GOAT can do what he wants.

Day 2

Tuesday, September 24th

Turns. And airs. And the indefinable thing that @claymarz0 did. And good times. Day 2 at the Quiksilver Festival saw another round of the ‘Best Maneuvers’ theme, and competitors got creative with the brief. Here are the best moments.

Day 1

Monday, September 23rd

Today was Day 1 of the surf comp at the 2024 Quiksilver Festival, and @floresjeremy hit the competitors with a judging theme of ‘Biggest Turns,’ then went out and hit a few sections himself. Check out our story to see how things shook up on the leaderboard, and see you tomorrow at 8 AM for a Day 2 call. Hint: We’re probably on.

Free Surf

Saturday, September 21st

The waves were a little on the small side this morning so for Day 1 of the Quik Fest we decided to get wet, test boards and have some fun in the sun. All smiles and party waves. With some weather coming in, we will be back on Monday 23rd - 8 am - for the next call at la plage des Gardians, Seignosse-Hossegor. And stay tuned for some fun waves coming later in the week!
